Rain on Your Parade review friv game - And not a bear at all

A small indie studio Friv2Online has released a delightful game Rain on Your Parade ("Tuchka-Vrednyuchka" in Russian localization), which is able to give a positive charge in any circumstances. We tell you about this mini-masterpiece in our review.

Who says a cloud can't be the protagonist of a video friv game? In Rain on Your Parade, you control a real (well, not really: it's actually cardboard) cloud and water everything you can reach.
The adventure begins in a room where a grandfather is telling his grandson a story about... that's right, a cloud that has decided to go beyond comfort by traveling the world in search of a better place. She's going to get quite a few people wet and even have to contend with a villain: yes, there's a man here who doesn't like clouds, rain, sweat, washing - basically, any kind of interaction with liquids. I can't say that this is a very serious opponent, but he can cause some trouble.

What does a cloud do? First of all, it can shed rain. The first missions in the friv game are dedicated to this very ability: you will have to upset a wedding, put out a burning garbage can, and so on. The water supply is not infinite, but find any body of water nearby and you'll be back in action in no time. And if you hover over a barrel with oil or acid, the cloud will immediately absorb the new liquid and pour it already - with the corresponding consequences: with the help of oil you can set something on fire, acid will destroy plants and so on.
Over time, new perspectives will open up before the heroine. For example, she will learn to strike lightning - and then no person will not hide under an umbrella. Or she will throw snow, making people slip and fall, rolling them into huge snowballs. Finally, it will call for a tornado, sweeping away everything in its path.

Your journey will take you through various locations, each of which has primary and secondary (as well as hidden, unmarked on the task list) objectives. You don't have to complete all of them, but for completing all quests you can get a customization item - a hat or an accessory, which you can try on in Cloud's personal hideout. There you can also paint her a new "face", if the default one doesn't suit you for some reason.
The authors prepared a lot of funny missions with crazy characters, hilarious dialogs, cool references and paschalks. Tuchka will put a bandage on his forehead and stealth on the enemy base. He'll lead an army of zombies. Will start shooting evil suns with a first-person view and retro-filter. Will start guarding the bomb from the special forces at a location suspiciously reminiscent of de_dust2. Or simply burst into a school building and disperse all the students.
Rain on Your Parade causes some kind of childish delight, and the friv game doesn't want to criticize at all. In fact, there's nothing to criticize it for: the only drawbacks are the not always obvious mission objectives and the abuse of the screen blur effect. Otherwise, it's a delightful entertainment for a couple of evenings with very good humor and unbridled chaos.
